STABLE ISOTOPE LAB MANAGER, THE SCHOOL OF GEOSCIENCES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA

The School of Geosciences at the University of South Florida is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month laboratory manager/ Research Associate for its geochemistry group.  The USF Stable Isotope Lab houses a Thermo Fisher Scientific Delta V IRMS with Gasbench II, EA, and TC/EA peripherals and a Picarro Water Isotope Analyzer.  The lab supports research and teaching across a broad range of disciplines, including but not limited to geology, anthropology, biology and geography.
 
The successful candidate will have research expertise in stable isotope geochemistry in carbonate, waters, and/or organics and must be experienced in IRMS maintenance, method development, and data management as well as have the interpersonal and organizational skills to work with diverse collaborators, train students and post-docs in analytical and instrumental methods, and process and evaluate complex data sets. Applicants must have a M.S. or Ph.D. degree in geology, analytical chemistry or related field.
