GEOSCIENCE PROGRAM COORDINATOR, WISCONSIN GEOLOGICAL AND NATURAL HISTORY SURVEY

Guided by our strategic goals of supporting and enhancing internal communication and facilitating the use of geoscience information by our stakeholders, the Geoscience Program Coordinator is a new position designed to coordinate geoscience publications and projects in support of the Survey’s strategic plan. This position serves as a member of the management team, supervises editorial staff and contracts, and reports to the Director. The position will also have opportunities to conduct geoscience research as needed by the Survey. This position will play a key editorial role in facilitating, guiding, and managing the Survey’s timely publication of maps and reports, including our overseeing peer review process. The position will also focus on project coordination and promotion, including needs assessment, investigation of local, state, and national funding opportunities, and facilitation of communication between and among Survey staff, partners, and stakeholders. Madison, Wisconsin, is home to the State Capitol, the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin System, and the Wisconsin Geological Survey.
