About the Position:
The primary roles of this position will be to train, supervise, and assist students, faculty, and visitors in the operation of the Pacific NW Paleomagnetism Lab for geoscience applications, to collaborate with faculty and students on research projects, to develop and pursue projects and proposals for external funding, and to refine and develop laboratory methods and procedures for geoscience applications of paleomagnetism and rock magnetism. The successful candidate will operate and maintain the various laboratory instruments and computers in the Paleomagnetism Lab, work with other staff and instrument specialists to improve, modify, replace, or recondition instruments and experimental apparatus, and will manage computer software, hardware, and data storage/analysis/management for laboratory users.
