BEDROCK GEOLOGIST, WISCONSIN GEOLOGICAL AND NATURAL HISTORY SURVEY

Join our world-class group of researchers as a bedrock geologist. Your research will help expand the understanding of the geology of Wisconsin. We’re looking for someone with experience in carbonate geology, clastic sedimentology, stratigraphy, or structural geology to conduct geologic mapping to address specific research questions. Participate in the Survey’s ongoing bedrock mapping program, including field mapping and study of outcrops, organizing and interpreting subsurface geologic and geophysical logs, describe rock core and cuttings, develop isopach and depth-to-bedrock maps, and construct and interpret three-dimensional geologic data sets.  Madison, Wisconsin, is home to the State Capitol, the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin System, and the Wisconsin Geological Survey.
